We are looking to for a Technical Manager, a seasoned professional with a strong technical background to lead and manage our technical team, and who has the ability to work remotely.

Crucially, the company also provides credit and service that allows customers to spread payments over 24 months and receive service for 5 years. The company has an extensive network of 45 branches in Uganda, is currently expanding operations to Western Kenya, and considering further expansion for the future. Bachelors degree level education or above
• Up to 5 years experience in electrical engineering, with a preference for a candidate with a strong technical background
• Experience in managing large teams and ability to work remotely
About the Position
Position title: Technical Manager
Reports to: Operations manager
Location: Kampala, Uganda
The Technical Manager will be responsible for implementing the company’s Technical management strategy, policies and processes.
1. Management of Installation Team
You develop strategies for the installation team for the successful completion of site surveys, quotations and LSHS installations.
2. Management of Service Team
You develop strategies for service team for closing service tickets and ensure client satisfaction.
3. Management of Workshop Team
You design a work plan for the entire workshop on how to close workshop repair tickets.
4. Technical and operational issues
You identify operational and technical issues and improve projects identified and run to plan to ensure team meet accountability and KPIs
5. Co-ordinate with other operational teams
6. Mentoring and coaching
You mentor and coach team leaders to enable them develop teams to meet their targets.
You prepare timely and accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the technical department and present them to Senior Management.
8. Management of the department
You manage the implementation and improvement of overall policies in line with the standard operating procedure.
